Holidays Activities and Food ( HAF)
HAF is program funded by the Department for Education (DfE) that provides free meals and enriching activities during school holidays for children eligible for benefits-related free school meals.
Funded by Stockport Council, Culture Bridge team has delivered HAF workshops during the school holidays for 4 years now. We have had the attendance of 50 children and their families attending our HAF workshops. We supported the total of more than 2500 children and their families during one year.
We have regular weekly volunteers running the program, including Art-Coordinators , Facilitators, artists, teachers, volunteers and freelance musicians and artists.
We are proud to have a wide community supporting our work; inspiring us to step forward to develop our work and build a better community together.
The pilot is being delivered by our Art & Culture artists, teaching and volunteers, is a fun and inclusive children and families educational programme, helping 5–16-year-old children to learn, develop and practice skills all year round, for a healthy confident future. Helping children and families to have fun whilst getting active, Culture Bridge provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children to develop fundamental movement skills and confidence to help support them in different aspects in the future.
